About The Position

The Training Specialist at LUV Car Wash is a strategic and hands-on learning leader responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that drive operational excellence, brand consistency, and workforce capability across all LUV markets. This role serves as the organization’s primary LMS administrator, a creative problem-solver, and a trusted operational partner—coaching leaders and frontline teams alike. This role provides consistent daily support for field operations, and brings equal parts instructional rigor, technological fluency, and a bias for practical, innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in training, instructional design, operations, or multi-unit leadership (retail, hospitality, or car wash environment preferred).
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience as an LMS administrator—including building course libraries, managing user cohorts, configuring assessments, and producing compliance reports.
  • Experience with HRIS and learning technology ecosystems; familiarity with SCORM and xAPI standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate creative, practical training solutions in response to evolving operational needs and ambiguous challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills—able to assess site or systemic challenges rapidly and implement effective, training-based responses.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to frontline teams and executive stakeholders alike.
  • Proficiency in instructional design tools: Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise), Synthesia, Colossyan, or equivalent e-learning authoring platforms.
  • Strong graphic design sensibility; ability to produce visually polished, brand-aligned materials in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
  • Proven ability to influence and coach employees across varying levels, backgrounds, and experience levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.

  • Familiarity with car wash operations, tunnel management, and maintenance best practices is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously refine training programs and ongoing skill-building at all levels.
  • Build and maintain a curriculum map aligned to LUV’s Operations & Standards.
  • Partner with Regional Directors, District Managers, and site leaders to identify field needs and translate them into targeted, practical training solutions.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations to develop regional and district-level training hubs that support leadership onboarding and service excellence.
  • Ensure training programs for newly hired or promoted DMs and GMs are current, sequenced effectively, and tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Support successful integration of new and rebranded sites by ensuring all team members understand and can apply LUV Operating Standards without exception.
  • Own course shells, user assignments, assessment configurations, and reporting workflows.
  • Build and maintain a logical, scalable LMS architecture that supports multi-market delivery, role-based learning paths, and compliance tracking.
  • Assign, monitor, and report on all training completions, knowledge checks, and certification milestones across the organization.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., LMS team members) to ensure test assignments, reset protocols, and learner records are accurate and current.
  • Troubleshoot learner and administrator issues with urgency; resolve LMS access, enrollment, or content errors with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop visually compelling, field-relevant training materials—including SCORM-based e-learning, job aids, video scripts, and facilitator guides—that reflect LUV brand standards.
  • Apply creative solutions when standard training approaches are insufficient—redesigning content, delivery methods, or assessment structures as the situation demands.
  • Identify performance or knowledge gaps not yet addressed by existing programs and build targeted learning interventions from the ground up.
  • Leverage emerging instructional technologies (Articulate 360, Synthesia, or equivalent) to produce scalable, high-quality content efficiently.
  • Introduce fresh formats—scenario-based modules, micro-learning, visual job aids, and live virtual sessions—to increase engagement and knowledge retention across diverse learner populations.
  • Host bi-weekly virtual meetings with Assistant General Managers and Shift Supervisors to deliver coaching, skill development, and leadership growth content.
  • Observe and evaluate site leadership and line-level employees in customer service, safety compliance, and operational execution.
  • Identify individual and team skill gaps; deliver targeted coaching, mentorship, or structured training to close performance deficiencies.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled site visits; deliver hands-on training, coaching, and follow-up evaluations on-site.
  • Ensure all pre-opening training resources are made available to site management and field leaders prior to launch.
  • Travel to new and rebranded locations to lead and execute training prior to opening day.
  • Participate in final site setup, team training, and operational readiness assessment prior to opening.
  • Assess training program effectiveness through follow-up site visits, secret shops, LMS analytics, and formal evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate training records; produce post-visit reports and actionable feedback for field leadership.
  • Recommend and implement improvement plans based on evaluation outcomes and operational observations.
  • Stay current on industry innovations, car wash technology, and best practices in adult learning and instructional design.
