Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent training certification required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing training, instructional design, or related roles; medical device, robotics, or healthcare manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and familiar with ComplianceWire, ETQ, and Agile PLM.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training documentation processes.
  • Problem solving mindset with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work effectively within diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline is a plus.
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, safety, quality systems, and compliance standards (ISO, OSHA).
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, high-tech assembly, or MedTech environments.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, Six Sigma, TWI (Training Within Industry), CPTD/ATD (Certified Professional in Talent Development).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading learning and development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical and soft skills training for manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and assembly (including hands-on sessions and classroom content).
  • Execute and coordinate training plans for assigned production areas aligned with business goals.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Evaluate employee competency against procedures and standards, identify skill gaps, and recommend appropriate training.
  • Maintain accurate training records and matrices in systems such as ComplianceWire, ETQ, and Agile PLM.
  • Partner with people leaders and production management to evaluate training effectiveness and measure improvement.
  • Implement systems for tracking training completion, skill progression, and certification renewals using the LMS.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize training effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of training programs through audits, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure training and work practices comply with applicable quality management, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards (for example, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001).
  • Promote safe work practices in all training activities.
  • Attend production meetings for assigned areas as needed and work on flexible schedules to meet training and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and update training materials, job aids, SOPs, and supporting documentation to improve assembly line performance and standardization.
  • Evaluate staff competency on specialized machinery and equipment; provide or arrange qualification/certification training as required.
  • Provide coaching and support to frontline leaders to strengthen workplace performance and compliance.
  • Manage external vendors and specialized technical training providers as needed.
  • Prepare training reports for audits, leadership reviews, and compliance documentation.
