About The Position

This position plans, implements, and evaluates a variety of professional and technical development programs for all employees within the Animal Resources Center, Research Administration. The role involves developing and managing orientation, continuing education, skills training, and leadership development programs. The specialist will identify necessary resources and facilities, assist in identifying learning needs, and adhere to internal controls. A key aspect of this role is the ability to work within ABSL-3 and ABSL-4 environments, requiring previous experience with animal models and animal husbandry. The position also demands adaptability to electronic documentation, training management, deviation tracking, and controlled document workflows in a regulated setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
  • Two years related experience
  • Ability to obtain access and work within ABSL-3 and ABSL-4.
  • Previous experience with animal models and animal husbandry.
  • Capable of quickly adapting to electronic documentation, training management, deviation tracking, and controlled document workflows required in a regulated environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with quality management platforms, including Mastercontrol.
