About The Position

This position is responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs to improve the skills, productivity, quality of work and performance of Team Members. FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider, specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers leading edge support from prototype to production.

Requirements

• 2-4 years’ experience managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs.
• Mostly independent; can design and prioritize work with limited supervision and direction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively mandatory.
• Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.
• High skill level with desktop/Laptop computer skills using Microsoft Window Office products.
• Clear, effective communicator verbally and in writing with superior interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training in the areas of adult learning, technical training, technical documentation and editing preferred.
• Content development / Instructional design experience a plus
• Experience using instructional design tools such as Storyline, Captivate a plus.
• Familiarity working in and around a formal documentation environment (i.e. ISO9001) a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop or oversee the production of classroom and online instructional materials, job aids, computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts.
• Collaborates with other members of the T&D team, and internal stakeholders to identify training needs, determine strategies and execute learning solutions that meet those needs.
• Creates graphical and video-based work instructions where required.
• Creates and tracks On-the-Job (OJT) training requirements for key production roles.
• Trains workforce on company-wide work standards and processes.
• Provides support in the planning and implementation of large events and meetings.
• Complies with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
