About The Position

Gray Media is seeking the next generation of media professionals for its 10-week immersive training program at KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This program offers a hands-on experience where participants will take ownership of real-world assignments in areas such as producing, reporting, weather forecasting, and sales. The program emphasizes digital-first content creation and collaboration with experienced media professionals. Participants will build a professional portfolio and be positioned for potential full-time career opportunities within Gray Media's extensive network.

Requirements

Current enrollment in college/university (preferred Junior/Senior status).
Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or a related field.
A 'doer' mindset with initiative and a willingness to work.
Understanding of digital media across various platforms.
Strong work ethic, organization, and a 'can-do' attitude.
Clear and confident communication skills.
Reliability and commitment to the full 10-week program and 25-hour weekly schedule.
Passion for local communities and local media.

Nice To Haves

Junior or Senior college student status preferred.
Broadcast Major preferred.

Responsibilities
