About The Position

KBR is seeking a Space Training Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide on-site support to Headquarters Space Operations Command on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. A successful Space Training Policy SME has experience researching, analyzing and recommending changes to training-related policy and guidance. In this position, you will implement training policy and guidance across HQ CFC and subordinate organizations, coordinate and send formal course change requests to HQ STARCOM, research, analyze and recommend updates to Advanced Training policy, collect and prioritize Delta Advanced Training requirements, plan and execute Advanced Training events and exercises, assess Deltas’ ability to meet training requirements and Mission Essential Tasks, coordinate Total Force training policy and guidance, and oversee, organize, and facilitate meetings, forums, summits and working groups to support HQ CFC’s Annual Training Cycle (i.e., RTRB process). Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.

Requirements

  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is required.
  • 3 years of training, education, and/or weapons and tactics experience.
  • Firm understanding of space capabilities.
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, CFC, STARCOM or equivalent.
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with military senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with US Space Force weapon systems and missions.
  • Experience with Joint- or Service-level weapons and tactics development.
  • BA/BS degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute).
  • Enterprise Task Management Tool proficiency.
