About The Position

The Arizona Department of Correction, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a highly educated individual for the position of INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (TRAINING OFFICER II). In this role you will research and develop curricula for employee learning activities, including in-service training, state-wide academies, and/or organizational development of programs, also responsible for all phases of curriculum design and development, including conducting formal needs assessments at the Central Office of Department of Corrections. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent work experience in a field related to instructional design, such as Adult Education, Communication, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Training and Development
  • Work experience in State Corrections or other areas of law enforcement is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Researches, developments, and maintains department training and academy curricula
  • Writes, edits, and revises lessons planned to meet quality standards, and department requirements
  • Conducts pilots of approved courses, and provides knowledge transfer, and curriculum support to Training Officer I’s
  • Facilitates and/or participates in curriculum development team meetings, and focus groups
  • Assists with first-line IT support, and troubleshooting for online training
  • Drives on State business
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
