About The Position
The Cyber Training Range (CTR) Administrator is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and administration of network systems within the CTR environments.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years' experience in a related Cyber/IT field is required
- IAT Level II certification is required
- Top Secret Clearance/SCI required
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, networking principles, ACAS, and SCCM is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Cyber Training Range Environment (CTRE), including its cloud environments (VMware, VDI, Containers), servers, and storage solutions.
- Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot networking switches, routers, cables, racks, and firewalls
- Work closely with vendors and third parties for installation and troubleshooting purposes
- Capable of partitioning single server into multiple virtual machines (VMware, Microsoft, and others)
- Configure simulators that are flexible and scalable with the ability to integrate and support Cyber and Information Operations
- Proactively monitor event logs for baseline changes or errors and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Automate the building, deployment, and configuration of training ranges using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, VRA) and configuration management utilities (e.g., Ansible, GitLab).
- Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and JavaScript to automate administrative tasks and operational processes.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of virtualization servers and desktop infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain enterprise virtual training cloud environments for students and instructors in classroom and development operations
- Document maintenance inspections, perform emergency shutdown/start-up and recovery operations, and conduct new systems integration
- Provide Tier 2/3 network support to optimize the Cyber Training Range for optimal performance
- Other duties as assigned
