About The Position

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a highly qualified Space and Cyber Range Architect to support the U.S. Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM). This position offers the opportunity to operate within a mission-critical environment supporting national security and space domain readiness. The successful candidate will lead the planning, integration, and management of space and cyber test range capabilities across U.S. Space Force (USSF) and Department of Defense (DoD) space environments. This role requires expertise in systems engineering, interface definition, and requirements management, as well as the ability to coordinate across interagency stakeholders. In this capacity, the Architect will drive strategic architectural planning efforts to ensure test and training ranges effectively support current and future space program requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, a systems-level perspective, and experience aligning complex capabilities to mission needs across operational, test, and training domains.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Polygraph), if required
  • 15+ years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience, including at least 5 years supporting SAP and/or SCI environments
  • Extensive experience in space and cyber systems architecture, design, and functional analysis
  • Proven experience developing CONOPS, conducting trade studies, and defining system requirements and interfaces
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small, cross-functional teams supporting complex programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Deep experience in end-to-end satellite and space systems architecture development
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, tools, and methodologies
  • Master's of Arts/Science Degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture-level trade studies and design space range architectures to support testing of complex, next-generation space systems
  • Engage with space range customers, acquisition organizations, and system architects across the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and mission partners to align requirements and capabilities
  • Drive development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), requirements definition, multi-segment interface design, and overall architecture integration
  • Perform functional analysis, risk management, and system design activities to ensure mission effectiveness and technical feasibility
  • Support integration of space and cyber range architectures with operational and training systems across the enterprise
  • Develop and deliver architecture briefings, technical reports, and supporting documentation for senior leadership and stakeholders
