About The Position

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is seeking a Senior Cyber Range Systems Engineer to support the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Eglin Site Services contract. This role provides senior-level technical leadership across cyber range infrastructure, event environments, and system integration efforts supporting Department of Defense cyber test and training operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, network engineering, or cyber range operations
  • Strong experience with: System integration and environment configuration
  • Virtualized environments and enterprise infrastructure
  • Network architecture and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting DoD cyber, test, or training environments
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting NCRC or similar cyber range environments
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), preferably in DoD or secured environments
  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering concepts, including Digital Twins and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with automation and large-scale environment deployment
  • Prior experience in a technical lead role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across cyber range engineering activities
  • Lead the design, integration, configuration, and validation of environments across IDE and EES systems
  • Support the full event lifecycle, including environment build, execution, troubleshooting, and post-event activities
  • Ensure engineering efforts align with PWS requirements and contract scope
  • Collaborate with Event Designers, Cyber Support Teams, and Government stakeholders to deliver mission-ready environments
  • Oversee automation and deployment processes to improve efficiency and repeatability
  • Support cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening and vulnerability remediation
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and system artifacts
  • Identify technical risks and implement practical mitigation strategies
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
