Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Training Material Developer to ensure our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time, with a focus on product support in areas such as Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability. Reporting to the Training Team Lead, this role involves designing and developing high-quality training courses, delivering on-site training, and enhancing graphical illustrations and technical documentation to meet critical business and customer needs. You will collaborate with the Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Radar team, course developers, and instructors to create pioneering, industry-leading training materials that support program success and ensure customer capability in operating and sustaining our innovative aerospace and defense solutions.

Requirements

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with system radar.
  • Experience creating/editing written technical documentation in a military and/or civilian environment.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other active electronically scanned arrays or radar / sensor systems
  • Understanding and application of Instructional Design concepts in blended learning principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Publisher, HTML, Dreamweaver, and eLearning software
  • Understanding and application of Graphic / Visual Design concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional presentation capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create high-quality documentation that meets user needs and customer standards.
  • Write, format, edit, review, and proof-read procedural and technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences as a SETS Radar Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Apply SME knowledge and expertise to the review, development, and sustainment of training courseware.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Maintain records and files of work including revisions, images, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Deliver technical product training to key stakeholders, ensuring training materials are comprehensive, effective, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain project timelines for training and documentation deliverables.
  • Coordinate with task lead to ensure that milestones are met, and risks are managed
  • Working knowledge of the Common Product Data Management (PDM) system and how to leverage its capabilities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze Engineering documentation such as: Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, and Schematics
