Requirements

High School Diploma
Waste Collection and Recycling Experience – at least 3 years preferred.
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Experience developing and implementing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations, analyzing data, and identifying and recommending corrective action.
Must maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive material.
Knowledge of DOT policies, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements
Basic computer skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

Ability to work flexible hours to fulfill the demands of the company.
Maintain confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
Conduct oral presentations and communicating technical information in understandable terms.
Communicates work requirements and obligations to drivers.
Provide local trainers with instruction and guidance.
Teach and supervises classroom training content to guarantee compliance.
Deliver driver training including New Hire Orientation; Refresher and Post-Accident Training and safety courses; supervise and arrange re-certification and re-training.
Generates and maintains all necessary driver files.
Keep the location leadership team abreast of safety performance, and issue timely notifications as needed.
Drive a continuous improvement culture in safety performance by collaborating with the site, resulting in all leading and lagging indicator improvements with a working understanding of safety measurements and formulas such as TRIR, DOT accident rates, and so on.
Investigate events, accidents, and work-related injuries, including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, and accident register, and follow up with the claim's office and adjusters as needed.
