About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for a growing team supporting a government client. Reporting to program leadership, the Training Manager will build and manage a team of training professionals, ensure staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality service, and partner across departments to keep training content current, accurate, and aligned with program standards. This is a key leadership position requiring the successful candidate to be based on-site in Washington, D.C.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing and delivering training programs, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Demonstrated experience designing curricula and training materials for adult learners.
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common learning management system (LMS) platforms.
• Must be able to work on-site in Washington, D.C.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any clearance or background investigation required by the contract.

Nice To Haves

• Prior training or workforce development experience in a customer service, contact center, or government contracting environment.
• Instructional design credentials (e.g., ATD, CPLP) or formal coursework in adult learning theory.
• Experience training staff on regulatory, compliance, or public-benefits program requirements.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and performance-monitoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver new-hire and ongoing training curricula, materials, job aids, and assessments for program staff.
• Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate a team of training specialists/trainers, ensuring consistent, high-quality training delivery.
• Partner with program leadership and subject-matter experts to identify training needs and translate them into effective learning solutions.
• Coordinate with content and knowledge-management staff to ensure training materials reflect current, approved policies, procedures, and guidance.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, quality reviews, and performance data, and recommend and implement improvements.
• Maintain training records, schedules, and documentation to support compliance and client reporting requirements.
• Onboard new employees and coordinate refresher, remedial, or cross-training as needs are identified.
• Stay current on adult-learning best practices, instructional design methods, and training technology and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
