About The Position

This role serves as the site’s Training Leader for Manufacturing Operations and IPC and is responsible for planning, delivering, and continuously improving role-based and competency-based training for employees. This role supports verification programs and ensures employees are trained, certified, and perform according to required process and quality standards. The Training Leader maintains all training and competency records and provides coaching to develop higher levels of competence across the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Learning & Development roles, Quality roles, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Process Engineering)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Learning & Development roles, Quality roles, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Process Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year of IPC experience
  • This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) certification

Responsibilities

  • Act as System Co-Owner for the chosen Learning Management System (LMS), such as Gensuite, Covalent, etc.
  • Consult with other Co-Owners (such as EHS, Quality, etc.) on system design, configuration, upgrade, and consolidation.
  • Optimize Curriculum Design and Assignment, per role, in the chosen Learning Management System (LMS), such as Gensuite, Covalent, etc.
  • Maintain and update Technical Training records for operators, including IPC certifications, on-the-job training (OJT), recertifications, and special process approvals.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and customer reviews by providing complete and accurate training documentation.
  • Coach and mentor Operators and Trainers to build higher levels of process knowledge, workmanship, and problem-solving capability.
  • Promote a strong safety, quality, and FLIGHT DECK culture, reinforcing adherence to procedures, IPC standards, and standard work in all training and coaching interactions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that have a training-effectiveness component.
  • Serve as the Lead IPC Trainer (MIT), delivering classroom, practical, and OJT aligned with current IPC standards and site requirements.
  • Maintain and manage all IPC-related training to ensure that only qualified personnel perform and sign off work.
  • Develop and update training materials, manuals, job aids, and standard work to reflect current specifications, process changes, and lessons learned.
  • Provide direct input on training materials that are adjacent to the role scope (e.g., Manufacturing Engineer’s standard manufacturing practice document).
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to address systemic causes and performance gaps observed during Quality audits.
