About The Position

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution within a distribution or manufacturing environment. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and support of demand and supply planning activities. Pick/Pack Training supports these operations by ensuring associates consistently execute order fulfillment processes accurately, safely, and efficiently. The function focuses on developing workforce capability through standardized training, process reinforcement, and continuous improvement to ensure service level commitments, quality expectations, and customer satisfaction are met. The Training Lead, Pick/Pack Operations is responsible for supporting warehouse leadership by leading training execution and skills development for pick and pack associates. This role ensures order fulfillment processes, quality standards, and productivity expectations are clearly understood and consistently applied on the warehouse floor. The Training Lead provides day‑to‑day coaching, identifies performance and knowledge gaps, and works cross‑functionally to remove barriers to accuracy and efficiency. This position operates as a subject‑matter expert and informal team leader for pick/pack operations without formal supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or fulfillment operations preferred
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience training, coaching, or leading peers in pick/pack operations strongly preferred
Applies extensive knowledge of pick/pack operations, quality standards, and company policies across a wide range of assignments
Demonstrates expert understanding of order fulfillment roles and strong working knowledge of upstream and downstream warehouse functions
Takes the lead in applying new processes, systems, and training methods within pick/pack operations
Provides technical guidance, coaching, and development support to less experienced associates
Maintains required training completions, certifications, and safety compliance knowledge
Works independently on complex operational or quality issues requiring initiative and sound judgment
Makes recommendations for new or revised fulfillment processes and supports implementation efforts
Adheres to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements
Operates with minimal supervision and exercises decision‑making authority within established guidelines
Serves as a team lead for training and process guidance without formal supervisory responsibility

Responsibilities

Supports associate development through cross-training, retraining, and continuous learning programs.
Ensures adherence to standard work, SOPs, quality requirements, and safety guidelines
Provides real‑time floor‑level coaching to reinforce proper picking, packing, verifying, and documentation practices
Monitors pick/pack execution to identify training gaps, error trends, and process deviations
Supports quality investigations by reinforcing corrective actions through targeted retraining
Partners with Warehouse Supervisors to align training priorities with volume, service, and labor demands
Serves as a point of contact for associate questions on pick/pack processes and best practices
Supports implementation and adoption of new tools, systems, equipment, or process changes
Recommends process and training improvements to enhance accuracy, safety, and throughput
Flexibility to support overnight/weekend operations
Willing to work in refrigerated environment
Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
