About The Position

The Training Expert – Electronic Warfare Operator (EWO) serves as both a training developer and flight instructor, responsible for delivering mission-focused training that supports operational readiness and aircrew performance. This role develops and maintains SCORM-compliant courseware while also providing classroom, simulator, and flight instruction to ensure aircrew proficiency and qualification standards are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of operational flight experience with 1,000 flight hours in the P-8A aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience as a flight instructor or evaluator in the P-8A platform.
  • Experience supporting FRS, MPRWS, or WTU training environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of the following: P-8A non-acoustic systems; Electronic Warfare operations; Crew Resource Management (CRM); Next Generation Threat Simulation (NGTS) software
  • Familiarity with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and the ADDIE process.
  • Strong understanding of learning theory and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with Adobe applications and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to maintain current medical qualification (“medical up”) and FAA Medical Certificate (or equivalent), along with all required P-8A flight positional qualifications.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% annually, including domestic and international travel, in support of training and program requirements.

  • Ability to perform flight instructor duties in operational aircraft and training environments.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while instructing or developing training materials.
  • Ability to operate standard office and training equipment, including computers and audiovisual systems.
  • Must be able to lift or move training materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including access to military installations and operational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update SCORM-compliant training products, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI), Computer-Based Training (CBT), and Interactive Courseware (ICW Levels 1–2) using tools such as Articulate and Adobe Captivate.
  • Deliver classroom, simulator, and flight instruction to train and evaluate aircrew in accordance with program, platform, and community standards.
  • Design and produce presentations, training scenarios, and performance assessments aligned with program objectives and stakeholder requirements.
  • Apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, including the ADDIE model, to develop effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • Evaluate student performance through formal assessments and flight evaluations, providing constructive and documented feedback to support aircrew development and qualification.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of training materials to ensure technical accuracy, instructional effectiveness, and compliance with program standards.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs), and program stakeholders to refine course content and implement updates.
  • Support and promote the organization’s safety culture and operational excellence.
  • Maintain flexibility to work weekends as required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
