About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Electronic Warfare Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or interest in RF and EW testing and a willingness to learn new skills. As a KAB Electronic Warfare Technician, you will actively contribute to technical projects within the group. You will use prior working knowledge of communications-related test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers, to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues. You will maintain electronic warfare and RF labs and facilities, ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and compliance with security protocols. You will work with complex systems of antennas, RF front ends, and signal processing equipment. You will participate in laboratory and field testing by providing logistical and organizational support for systems under test including coordinating Bills of Materials (BOMs), checkout of field test hardware, and shipping documentation. You will have a working knowledge of computers, and have the ability to operate low-level custom test software from both graphical user interfaces and command line interfaces. You will assist in the procurement of electrical components and spare parts as needed. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and the institute's protocols. You will have strong organizational skills and experience as a coordinator or facilitator. You will have demonstrated ability and willingness to multi-task across several projects and work independently. You will interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds. You will be responsible for occasionally driving a cargo van to move test equipment between buildings on campus (less than one mile two or three times a month), and to deliver or pickup equipment to, or from, vendors off campus (less than 15 miles three or four times a year) for repairs or calibration.
