About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the F-22 GTE Services Team are seeking a Mid-Level Training Device Technician (Maintenance) to support our team in Sheppard AFB, TX. This role involves providing F-22 training device maintenance services, including assisting with repairs, testing, installation, configuration, upgrades, and modifications of F-22 Maintenance Training Device (MTD) components, devices, hardware, and software. The technician will perform detailed inspections, inspect components and LRUs, consult with engineers on troubleshooting, and repair faulty components. Responsibilities also include performing functional tests, maintaining multi-platform systems, documenting work, and providing excellent customer interface and communication. Logistics, administrative, and other collateral duties are also required.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in an electrical, mechanical, paint, machine maintenance, or aircraft maintenance position
  • 3 or more years of experience with maintenance of avionics and/or electronic equipment
  • 3 or more years of experience with troubleshooting and repairing computing system hardware and software
  • Experience with aircraft ground equipment
  • Active US Secret Clearance. (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide F-22 training device maintenance services at Sheppard AFB, TX.
  • Assist in repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of F-22 Maintenance Training Device (MTD) components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Perform detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling.
  • Inspect components and LRU's to verify status prior to installation.
  • Consult with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Perform functional test of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and indicators.
  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems applications and activities.
  • Install, configure and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software and components.
  • Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.
  • Evaluate complex system’s production readiness and supportability.
  • Document work per engineering planning documents and/or technical manuals.
  • Provide excellent customer interface skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Work independently, one-on-one, and in a team setting.
  • Perform logistics, administrative and other collateral duties necessary to maintain F-22 maintenance training devices.
