About The Position

The Training Coordinator will cross-train operators in assigned departments using all JSAs, EOPs, and standard operating procedures. This role ensures employees understand and follow safety requirements, operational procedures, and company policies. The coordinator will assess employee proficiency through structured evaluations and partner with Learning and Development Leadership to identify training needs, support gap analysis, and determine appropriate training plans for new hires and existing employees. Responsibilities include training, coaching, auditing peer trainers, completing standard work and assigned tasks, ensuring area readiness for learning, and escalating barriers. The role involves documenting audits and updates, filling in operational paths when needed, and spending a minimum of 5 hours per week in a process path. The Training Coordinator will also partner with Learning and Development Leadership for projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or training position
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be proficient in Basic Math

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership/supervisory and training experience desired
  • Experience designing and developing training courses preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cross train operators in assigned department using all JSAs, EOPs, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure employees understand and follow safety requirements, operational procedures, and company policies while performing their assigned work
  • Assess employee proficiency through structured evaluations to confirm employees are properly trained and capable of performing required tasks safely and effectively
  • Partner with Learning and Development Leadership to identify training needs, support gap analysis, and determine appropriate training plans for new hires and existing employees
  • Train, coach, and audit peer trainers
  • Complete all standard work and assigned tasks on time and to standard expectation, complete standard work checklist daily
  • Ensure area readiness and area organization for all learning areas and training locations to support training activities
  • Escalate any barriers to Learning and Development Supervisor/Manager
  • Proficiency in all processes in assigned department
  • Rotate through paths weekly to maintain proficiency and uncover barriers
  • Monitor learning hours
  • Document audits and updates for assigned department
  • Fill in operational paths when needed and coordinate with Learning and Development Manager ahead of time
  • Spend a minimum of 5 hours per week in a process path
  • Partner with Learning and Development Leadership for projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by Learning and Development Manager
