About The Position

The Training Coordinator serves as the key resource and coach for implementing PE and Learning practices across the operation. This role works in close partnership with the site leadership team to assess the current state, envision the desired future state, and develop a strategic plan to drive the organization forward. The Training Coordinator may facilitate and lead training sessions while also mentoring and empowering other team members to enhance their ability to deliver training and lead sessions independently. Additionally, this role acts as the primary point of contact for ADM’s central PE & Learning teams, ensuring the effective implementation of training, continuous improvement standards, and best practices drawn from ADM and industry benchmarks. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning, the Training Coordinator plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting the organization's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Strong background in manufacturing, either as a plant supervisor or through extensive hands-on experience in operational environments.
  • Proven ability to apply systematic problem-solving techniques to address manufacturing performance challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire, guide, and motivate teams at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members across all organizational levels.
  • Solid foundation and demonstrated application of Performance Excellence principles to drive operational improvements and achieve organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated belief in growth mindset and the individual’s ability to learn and develop with appropriate training, desire & effort.
  • The ability to lead and motivate others.
  • The ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material both during development and in presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a premier training program to provide a highly effective, robust, motivated, and safe workforce passionate about continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching on problem solving using data and analytics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Assist departments in conducting root cause analysis, applying systematic problem-solving methodologies, and implementing sustainable countermeasures.
  • Deliver education and training for location teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Train & influence teams to utilize tools and methodologies aligned to PE.
  • Identify training gaps during work and provide actionable solutions to address them.
  • Oversee and manage the site’s new hire training program to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with OJT (on the job training) mentors, subject matter experts, procedure reviewers, training reviewers, engineers, managers/supervisors, and EHS staff to support the site’s training activities.
  • Maintain, update, and audit all training documents and procedures to ensure compliance with changes, Management of Change (MOC) processes, and periodic reviews.
  • Enhance skills to include adult learning methodologies and deliver one on one coaching and instruction, in the field training, casual small group training, and formal stand-up instruction.
  • Partner with the Performance Excellence Team to develop, implement, document, and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs.
  • Mentor and develop site teams to cultivate an inspiring, high-performance culture driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Provide management support as directed by Plant Manager to ensure the site maintains safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
