About The Position

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company with over 100 years of history, operating as one of the world's largest woven textile mills. The company designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for a diverse clientele including furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. This role involves working within a designated facility to train and coordinate proper associate training procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• Meet all pre-employment requirements.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
• Minimum high school education.
• Basic understanding of how SAP affects all phases of our production system.
• Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner, demonstrate procedures, and research and respond to associates’ questions as needed.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates/management.
• Ability to work on all shifts and overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good project management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner.
• Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues.

• Manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Training Manager in assessing, planning, developing, implementing, facilitating, and tracking the day-to-day training needs of designated associates.
• Perform any other related functions as designated by the Training Manager.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
• Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
• Maintain 5S standards.
• Use PPE as required by policy and guidelines.
