About The Position

Western Global is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Training Coordinator to support our growing flight operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the training, development, and regulatory compliance of our flight crews while contributing to the continued success of a global cargo airline. The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating crew training activities with both internal departments and external organizations. This role serves as a key liaison between Training, Flight Operations, Human Resources, Crew Planning, and regulatory agencies to ensure pilots receive the training, equipment, and support needed to operate safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of crew training coordination experience or related airline industry experience required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience developing data-driven reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Training, Aviation, or a related field preferred.
  • Microsoft Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with internal departments (crew scheduling, crew planning, Human Resources, Chief Pilot Office) on behalf of the Training department to arrange informational exchanges and updates to pilot schedules.
  • Manage the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP), ensuring foreign national pilots obtain required TSA approvals for initial and recurrent training.
  • Facilitate new-hire pilot onboarding, documentation, and transitions to training centers.
  • Conduct audits of Training Department processes, procedures, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Track ETR and BlueOne systems to publish training memos and manage crew training due dates, including LCPs and APDs.
  • Distribute and manage company-issued equipment, including iPads, phones, and other required devices for new hires and captain upgrades.
  • Maintain training materials inventory and order additional supplies as needed.
  • Collect company-issued materials from departing employees.
  • Submit training schedules, OE observation rides, and line check communications to the FAA as directed by the Director of Training.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of SMS processes within the Training and Standards Department and recommend best practices.
