About The Position

This Training Assistant position is a limited-tenure role intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory. As the organization matures, the role is expected to transition to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate company operating independently from Mayo Clinic Laboratories. The position will work 100% on-site in Southaven, Mississippi.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED and 2 years relevant experience OR Associates’ degree.
• Effective oral, written, listening and coaching skills coupled with didactic and "hands on" teaching skills are essential.
• Good human relation skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assists with didactic and practical education programs for multiple student groups.
• Assist with the development and implementation of lectures using research and best practice information.
• Identify and plan laboratory educational needs in collaboration with laboratory leadership.
• Assist in the development of educational programs for new trainees and the retention of trained staff.
• Maintain laboratory staff competencies and compliance.
• Help troubleshoot errors, complete documentation, and monitor educational needs of staff.
