About The Position

This role assists in monitoring compliance within the Energy Sector, acquiring a working knowledge of policies and procedures to support employees and management with compliance-related questions. The position involves tracking tools and equipment for safety and compliance in Gas work, including managing expiration and requalification dates, and assisting with the calibration and repair of gas tools. It also includes tracking damages for specific divisions, supporting claims, investigations, and training initiatives, and providing backup for filing locate requests through the One Call System. The role offers administrative support to OQ Coordinators, generates reports, corrects errors, and supports EWN, MEA, and ISN systems. A key responsibility is maintaining online training and record-keeping systems, and collaborating with HR to track training completions and notify employees and supervisors of required training. The position also involves tracking and submitting payroll requests for training completion, conducting field safety and compliance audits as needed, and distributing PPE to MP field staff.

Requirements

  • Preferred Associate or Bachelor’s Degree; two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications and computers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document processes/procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring compliance and acquiring a working knowledge of Energy Sector policy and procedures.
  • Assist employees and management with compliance questions and issues.
  • Track tools and equipment related to safety and compliance for Gas work, including expiration and requalification dates.
  • Assist with calibration and repair of gas tools.
  • Track damages for specific divisions and assist with claims, investigations, and training/awareness projects.
  • Provide backup for filing locate requests through the One Call System.
  • Provide administrative assistance to all OQ Coordinators.
  • Generate reports, correct errors, and support EWN, MEA and ISN.
  • Maintain online training systems and record keeping systems.
  • Assist Manager, Safety Director, and field leadership with safety training, compliance and damage prevention functions.
  • Collaborate with HR Department to track training completions and expiration, and notify employees and supervisors requiring training.
  • Track and submit payroll requests for training completion.
  • Conduct field safety and compliance auditing to supplement as needed.
  • Distribute PPE as needed to MP field staff.
