About The Position

We are seeking driven, thoughtful candidates with experience in program evaluation to support impactful initiatives for our Federal clients at the U.S. Department of State (DOS). As a Training Specialist with Censeo, you will develop and deliver compliance education and build interagency coordination capacity for a key Department of State program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (International Affairs, Organizational Development, Education, Public Policy, etc).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in training, capacity building, compliance oversight, and professional development within federal agencies or federal contractors
  • Experience working with federal agencies required (experience with Department of State strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering adult learning programs for compliance, enforcement, or investigative personnel, including: Certification preparation programs, Role‑based learning pathways, Refresher and continuing education modules
  • Proven experience supporting interagency coordination involving federal program oversight entities
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance, enforcement, and investigative frameworks
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and regulations governing program evaluations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Public Administration, Organizational Learning, Compliance Management Economics, or a related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing professional development for compliance personnel to enhance oversight effectiveness
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps across sponsor organizations, investigators, and compliance personnel
  • Develop role‑based learning pathways for compliance officers, auditors, program managers, and senior leadership
  • Develop and deliver certification programs (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Inspector General (CIG))
  • Coordinate with legal, cybersecurity, and data governance teams to ensure training reflects current regulatory interpretations and security requirements.
  • Conduct sponsor training workshops on regulatory updates and compliance best practices
  • Strengthen information-sharing frameworks with federal partners, including DHS Homeland Security Investigations and the National Targeting Center
  • Develop interagency coordination mechanisms to enhance compliance enforcement and incident resolution
  • Develop contingency and escalation playbooks and train staff on incident response procedures related to compliance failures or security events
  • Facilitate cross-agency collaboration for proactive risk management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop realistic, innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through written reports and presentations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying and mitigating delivery risks
