The Trainer is primarily responsible for delivering training (virtual and in-person) to new and existing operational employees. They support the design, development, and organization of various training materials and programs, conduct training needs assessments, monitor learner progress, and share results with leaders to ensure training effectiveness. The role involves fostering an engaging, interactive, and creative learning environment using blended methodologies like virtual instructor-led training, self-directed e-learning, interactive case studies, knowledge-based assessments, simulations, and hands-on production activities. Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Education, HR, Adult Learning, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant training and facilitation experience through classroom, online, virtual and web-based methodologies
  • Knowledge of and practical application of adult learning principles and instructional delivery principles
  • Easily gains trust and support of peers, encourages collaboration, remains composed, and is receptive to feedback
  • Excellent time management skills; effectively establishes priorities and adapts to change
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to clearly explain concepts and provide direction
  • Life-long learner with interest in Medavie Claims and Administration systems, products, processes, and learning industry best practices
  • Bilingualism (French and English)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver End-User Training (in-person, virtual or hybrid) for Operations teams through various learning instructional methods (eLearning, instructor-led, collaborative, blended), primarily via virtual platforms and in person, as required by business needs.
  • Apply adult-learning principles to support learner engagement, retention, and skill development.
  • Provide ongoing support to learners during and after training to reinforce desired learning outcomes.
  • Offer individualized coaching and guidance throughout and following training sessions.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to support performance expectations.
  • Ensure participant engagement and foster a respectful, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
  • Validate course design, including content relevance, flow, and instructional style.
  • Test and review new learning modules (e-learning, assessments, exercises) and provide feedback.
  • Support the Training Modernization project by contributing to timeline negotiations, project goals, and ensuring deadlines and service standards are met.
  • Facilitate quizzes, practical assessments, and knowledge checks to evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Monitor and document learner performance, progress, achievements, and development needs.
  • Communicate training outcomes, attendance, and required follow-up actions to leadership.
  • Coordinate and evaluate LMS-based knowledge assessments and adapt training strategies as needed.
  • Assess hands-on competencies through direct observation and review of recorded sessions.
  • Generate, analyze, and share key LMS reports on a consistent basis.
  • Review post-training surveys, performance trends, and KPIs to recommend curriculum enhancements.
  • Conduct training needs analysis by collaborating with staff and leadership.
  • Provide leaders with scheduled learner progress reports, including results, observed behaviors, and recommendations.
  • Ensure learner system access profiles are complete and active prior to onboarding.
