About The Position

This position manages new hire training, remedial training, and hands-on coaching for team members. It serves as a backup for supervisors and assists with operational needs when not training. The role collaborates with the HR department to document and conduct training, with the goal of preparing future supervisors for IIDC.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have at last 12 months of warehousing experience within the last 18 months.
  • 6 months of Forklift experience within the last 12 months.
  • Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing. ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels

Nice To Haves

  • Cold storage experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products are a plus.
  • Internal candidates that are cross trained on all operations roles are preferred.
  • Composite toe preferred.

Responsibilities

  • During your work shift, which will consist of (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • Train new hires and maintain training records using training systems like POKA, Workday, & Alchemy.
  • Conduct remedial training for team members as required.
  • Support supervisor activities and operational needs.
  • Serve as a backup to forklift operator, queue, or checker as necessary.
  • Attend quarterly off-shift training sessions. (Monday – Friday Day Shift)
  • Lead and participate in shift safety council meetings and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
