The Trainer and Instructor II coordinates the Implementation of New Employee Orientation (NEO) programming, ensuring topics and material covered are compliant with mandatory DBHDS and COV training requirements. They maintain the master NEO Binder with the most up-to-date materials and ensure all NEOs are scheduled and stakeholders notified at least one week prior to the start. This role coordinates with presenters to ensure adequate training, substitutes as necessary, and collects/maintains records for attendance and understanding. Additionally, they are responsible for the full implementation of CCCA's Therapeutic Options, UKERU, DEFUSE, and First Aid/CPR training programs. This includes maintaining a minimum of 5 active trainers for each program, ensuring curriculums are current and compliant, scheduling and facilitating classes, and properly maintaining training records. The Trainer and Instructor serves as a primary trainer for Therapeutic Options & First Aid/CPR programs, ensuring equal opportunity and responsibility among trainers, and also acts as a back-up trainer. They develop curriculum for identified required training topics, possibly with committee assistance, and implement agency-specific training. This role identifies, recruits, and trains additional trainers as necessary, coordinates, publicizes, and facilitates training schedules, and ensures records of attendance and proficiency are maintained and communicated. Finally, they facilitate 1:1 or small group staff professional development training as needed.
