About The Position

We are seeking a Trainer/Direct Support Professional to work closely with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest. This is a community-based position supervising a group of program participants in the community. The role includes planning activities and documenting each participant’s day and progress. The organization emphasizes treating every person with dignity and respect and providing high-quality care and support.

Requirements

• Be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Be able to use smartphone applications for timekeeping and documentation.
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Successfully complete a Department of Justice background screening.
• Successfully complete a physical examination and TB test.
• Have a valid driver’s license, at least five years of driving experience, and an acceptable driving record.
• Be patient and understanding.

• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of program participants in the community.
• Create a monthly calendar.
• Provide morning pick-ups and afternoon drop-offs.
• Record mileage and complete vehicle inspections.
• Journal at the end of each day to document each participant’s day and progress.
