About The Position

Jesuit Community College, a Community Based RTO, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and qualified Trainer and Assessor to deliver courses in Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee, Food Safety, Responsible Service of Alcohol, and Pre-Accredited Coffee making and introduction to Hospitality. They will also deliver Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory). This is a casual position, working up to 3 days per week for allocated courses, with locations in Western Melbourne and Southeastern Melbourne. The college focuses on learners whose education has been interrupted, particularly disengaged learners, aiming to provide flexible pathways to further study, work, or community participation. The role emphasizes innovative, flexible, and supported training tailored to individual needs, ensuring students are prepared for working life with confidence and motivation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in delivering accredited training & assessment courses in hospitality and/or general education fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of Hospitality Industry experience including liquor service.
  • Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Suite.
  • Learning Management System experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Passion and commitment to engage with disengaged learners and improve.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a relevant field.
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus units: TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B OR A Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
  • Related Vocational qualifications for Prepare, Serve Espresso Coffee, Food Safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol – Liquor Control Victoria.
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ((TAE40122 or TAE4116 or TAE4110 including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502)).
  • Current Victorian Driver’s license.
  • Own a vehicle.
  • Current Working with Children’s check.
  • Pass a National Police check.
