About The Position

Westland Insurance Group Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee, Insurance Advisor in Osoyoos, BC at our Main Street location. This role is for a career-minded individual who is focused on growing their career in insurance. As a Trainee, Insurance Advisor, you're empowered to develop your career in insurance by learning how to promote and educate clients on Insurance products. You'll also practice anticipating and interpreting client needs, as well as completing various insurance transactions. Westland provides support to all Trainees as they work to obtain their licensing. The hourly rate for this role is $21.28 on a 37.5-hour work week, with an increase upon licensing and movement into the Insurance Advisor position. Licensing is typically achieved within 3 months from the date of hire but is dependent on individual achievement. Westland provides support to all Trainees as they work to obtain their licensing. As a Trainee you will have your licensing costs covered by Westland and be provided with a training plan to ensure you’re fully supported throughout the six-week training period and beyond.

Requirements

• Eager to grow, with minimal sales or customer service experience under your belt
• Building authentic client relationships comes naturally to you
• Master time manager, can prioritize workload
• Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to obtain your Level 1 Insurance license through a comprehensive 6-week program
