About The Position

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking motivated individuals to join their Traineeship Program at Goodstart Lower Plenty. This program offers the opportunity to build a career in early childhood education, making a positive impact on children's lives. Trainee Educators will work towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care while gaining practical experience. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, complying with national standards, building relationships with children and families, contributing to the education program, and fostering a positive work culture. Eligibility requires not holding a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification in the last 7 years (outside of secondary school), a willingness to study, permanent work rights in Australia, strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, flexibility, and enthusiasm. A Working with Children Check and proof of immunisation are also required or must be obtained.

Requirements

Not holding a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years (applicants who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare will still be eligible)
The willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
A permanent right to work in Australia
Strong communication skills
Good time management and organisational skills
Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Flexible availability
Interest in early years education
Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps and Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis) (or be willing to receive)

Maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members
Complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures and Requirements
Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families
Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team
Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement
Contributing to a professional and positive work culture
