The Skirball Cultural Center seeks a dynamic and engaging educator to facilitate school tours for TK – 12th grade students. Part-Time Educators lead inquiry-based tours in the Skirball’s exhibitions on Jewish culture and history, immigration, and archaeology, as well as in the award-winning Noah’s Ark exhibition. Part-time Educators use scripted tour content and interactive teaching strategies including object-based learning, visual thinking strategies, storytelling, puppetry, music, cooperative games, and artmaking to create student-centered learning experiences. Programs for students focus on themes of community building, collaboration, immigration, family stories, identity, and more. This role is ideal for educators passionate about working with students in a museum setting and creating joyful, interactive experiences.
