Requirements

Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certification
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Six or more months of experience in a nursing facility
Strong understanding of medication administration and documentation
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset
Ability to follow medication orders, facility policies, and nursing direction
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and support to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare settings.
Safely administer medications according to physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations under the direction of a licensed nurse.
Accurately document medication administration and report any concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in resident condition to the appropriate nurse.
Monitor residents for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse reactions.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility support, as needed.
Take and record vital signs, blood glucose, intake/output, and other required information.
Communicate effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, residents, and families to promote quality care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation while following all medication administration and safety procedures.
