About The Position

The Trailer Technician repairs trailers and performs chassis repairs, including brake jobs, welding, cutting with a torch, and repairing or replacing chassis parts using standard repair tools. The role may also involve minor container repairs, such as patches and work on door latches and hinges.

The technician diagnoses, repairs, builds, and rebuilds trailer equipment; performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections; and tests equipment to ensure proper operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Vocational certificate or work experience.
• Welding experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Carpentry fabrication experience.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, build, and rebuild all parts of trailer equipment.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and inspect it.
• Test equipment for proper operation.
• Perform brake jobs and suspension repairs.
• Perform chassis repairs, including welding, cutting with a torch, and repairing or replacing parts.
• Perform minor container repairs, including patches and repairs to door latches and hinges.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
