About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance (FMM) is seeking talented Trailer Shop Technicians for 2nd or 3rd shift positions. FMM utilizes cutting-edge technology to minimize administrative tasks, allowing technicians to focus on their craft. As a locally run, family-oriented company serving the community, we are looking for skilled individuals to join our growing team. Technicians have the potential to earn an additional $700 bi-weekly through efficiency bonuses and receive weekly pay. FMM offers mobile preventative maintenance, mechanical repair, tire services, and trailer repair and maintenance across several markets in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Our focus is on providing on-site service to minimize customer downtime and build long-term relationships by ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and operational.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven trailer repair experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for repair order submission.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.
  • Needs to have or be able to obtain a valid Chauffer's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience/certification.
  • Technical school degree or training.
  • Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers on-site.
  • Perform mobile road calls and in-yard service, completing detailed work orders.
  • Inspect, service, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Repair and replace hubs, axles, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform welding/fabrication and other structural repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance requirements.
  • Document repairs, inspections, and findings for management and billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to client needs.
