Cox Fleet is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, offering mobile on-site fleet service for light medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Cox Fleet also services customers utilizing its 50+ nationwide service centers; each offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. We are supported by a 24/7 in-house call-center and provide scheduled maintenance services and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime. This is an opportunity for a career as a Trailer Technician. Fleet Services by Cox Fleet is announcing open enrollment into our next FleeTec Academy class. FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program that leads to a path to becoming a full-time Trailer Technician. It was established to help people get into the Trailer Maintenance field who might not be able to afford extensive technical school or purchase necessary tools. Participants are paid during the program, receive free education on Trailer Repair, and are provided with a set of hand tools and a toolbox. The program involves four (4) weeks of full-time schooling at the Academy Campus, with travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and a meal stipend paid by the company, along with a paycheck. Upon completion of the classroom phase, participants are paired with a Lead Technician for hands-on training and offered a full-time job as a Mobile Trailer Mechanic. Further classroom study is provided periodically. Upon successful completion of the multi-year program, participants will be recognized as Trailer Technicians. Mobile Technicians are assigned a state-of-the-art vehicle to perform vehicle repairs at customer locations, focusing on preventative maintenance and general repairs to keep customer vehicles running efficiently.

Requirements

Desire to start a career as a Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
Willingness and ability to study hard.
Dedication to be away from home for 4 weeks for training.
Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
Ability to operate an iPad.
Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
Must be at least 21 years or older.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repairs at customer locations.
Conduct preventative maintenance.
Execute general repairs onsite.
Study hard for four weeks of full-time schooling at the Academy Campus.
Undergo hands-on training with a Lead Technician.
Maintain and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
