Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Jacksonville, FL, branch location. We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic to join our team of trailer professionals. Requirements

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a heavy-duty truck or trailer mechanic. Apprentice mechanic program also available.
Must have knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of trailers.
Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, result oriented, problem-solving attitude.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Must have own hand tools. Some tools provided if enrolled in Apprentice program.
Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies and regulations.
Must pass standard pre-employment drug test and physical.

Nice To Haves

Experience with fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, liftgates, body repair and welding is a plus but willing to train.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of trailer repairs including preventive maintenance, installations, replacements, and diagnostic tasks for various makes and models of semi-trailers and related equipment in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company policies, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.
