Our Mechanics have the opportunity of starting at up to $35.00 an hour based on experience! Commission opportunities! Bonus options for completed ASE Certifications! Requirements

  • At least one full year of hands-on experience.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on Medium/Heavy Trucks and Trailers including but not limited to: Oil Changes, Lube Checks, Coolant Checks, Fluid Checks, Battery, Belts and Hose Checks, Brake Inspections and DOT (federal annual DOT inspections).
  • Diagnose issues and repairs of: HVAC, Starting and Charging systems, Brakes, Engine Cooling, Exhaust, Fuel System, Suspension including alignments, Steering, After treatment (DEF and DPF) systems, Air systems and Electrical systems.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and wiring diagrams.
  • Work well with a team to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment
  • Possess tools to properly perform repairs within our scope of service
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs, work on lifts or creepers, and spend long periods bending, standing, and kneeling.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver’s license.
  • Background check – physical – pre-employment and random drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Must provide excellent service to our customers
  • Completes thorough vehicle inspections and documents any needed repairs
  • Inspects quality of work performed to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Communicate with Service Writers/Parts Counter Advisors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, work safely, and as part of a team.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM) and regular DOT inspections to identify wear and tear before it results in a breakdown.
  • Diagnose and rewire electrical systems, replace faulty wiring, and fix exterior running and brake lights.
  • Service and replace drum brakes, air brake systems, wheel seals, axles, springs, and suspension components.
  • Repair or replace damaged side panels, roofs, rub rails, and swing or roll-up trailer doors
  • Perform minor weld repairs, repair flooring, and install or repair dolly legs and lift gates.
