The Trailer Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM), air brake diagnostics and repairs, ABS diagnostics and repairs, floor repairs, minor and major accident repairs, electrical systems diagnostics and repairs, wheel end repairs and adjustments, aluminum and steel welding, and general repairs on trailers and trailer dollies. This role also involves performing PM maintenance accurately and efficiently, adhering to warranty policies, utilizing electronic technical manuals, providing accurate documentation on repair orders, researching and conforming to OEM maintenance specifications, keeping detailed maintenance records, maintaining an organized and clean shop, and complying with SPS policies, DOT Regulations, and OSHA guidelines. Additionally, the technician will train and coach new personnel, procure parts and supplies, and maintain and report expenses within budgetary guidelines.
