About The Position
The Trailer Assembler will be responsible for assembling and disassembling tube trailers, performing general labor, maintenance, and clean-up tasks. This role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
- Heavy assembly and forklift experience helpful
- Mechanical aptitude
- Eager to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be dependable
- Able to stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel
- High school education or GED; or up to 6 months related experience and on the job training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Assembles/Disassemble tube trailers
- Performs general labor
- Maintenance and clean-up
- Verify numbers stamped on tubes to be assembled into units
- Cleans and prepares surface to be painted
- May apply masking tape over parts or areas that are not to be painted, or for special two-tone paint
- Coats some area by hand with brushes and rollers
- Remove plugs from threaded tube necks, clean threads with power wire brush, lubricate threads and install mounting flange
- Mark locations for data plates, drill and secure
- Apply decals
