About The Position

Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for full-time Traffic Signal Workers to join our team. We need some hardworking individuals to work with light, medium and heavy tools, underground conduit, boxes and vaults, build cabinets and foundations, pull wire, install light poles and fixtures, mount signal heads, install traffic camera’s, set rebar foundations and pour concrete. Working on MSHA surface mine locations (mostly gravel pits). Occasional long hours to complete work. Actively contributes to a positive team environment. Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours. Be a self starter. Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience with roadway projects including Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, and Underground Utilities.
  • Experience troubleshooting, pulling wire, bending pipe and computing electrical formulas.
  • Ability to install control circuits and other components.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.
  • High School graduate or Equivalent.
  • Must have electrical knowledge.
  • Must have a background in Construction, or Carpentry.
  • General Labor/Construction Labor Experience Required.
  • Valid Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

  • Traffic Signal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installation, maintaining, repair, and servicing of traffic signals, electrical traffic control devices, and power systems.
  • Designing, installing, maintaining motor control systems.
  • PLC control design, programming and troubleshooting.
  • Working with light, medium and heavy tools, underground conduit, boxes and vaults, build cabinets and foundations, pull wire, install light poles and fixtures, mount signal heads, install traffic camera’s, set rebar foundations and pour concrete.
