About The Position

Hunt Electric is hiring full-time Traffic Signal & Lighting Electricians for roadway and electrical infrastructure work. The role involves work with traffic signals, street lighting, underground utilities, three-phase power systems, motors, motor controls, and PLCs. Duties include installing and maintaining electrical and control systems; troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing them; and working with conduit, wire, cabinets, foundations, lighting fixtures, signal heads, and traffic cameras. Work may take place at MSHA surface mine locations, mostly gravel pits, and may involve occasional long hours. Employees are expected to contribute positively to the team, attend reliably, follow scheduled work hours, know the National Electric Code, and work independently. Other duties or locations may be assigned by the Manager. Requirements

Valid Journeyman Electrician’s license.
Electrical conduit experience.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Electrical knowledge.
Background in construction or carpentry.
General labor or construction labor experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain three-phase power systems, motors, and motor controls.
Design, install, and maintain motor control systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and service control and power systems.
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC controls.
Work with underground conduit, boxes, and vaults; build cabinets and foundations; pull wire; install light poles and fixtures; mount signal heads; install traffic cameras; and set rebar foundations and pour concrete.
Work with light, medium, and heavy tools.
Work at MSHA surface mine locations, mostly gravel pits.
Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate dependable attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours.
Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the Manager.
