About The Position

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Traffic Engineer. This role will support traffic engineering projects, document development and design, and perform other related tasks. Works on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience.
Registered PE.
Applies practical knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve issues.
Strong working knowledge of Auto Cad, Micro station, Synchro, Sidra, and other essential equipment for field and office work.
Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.

Nice To Haves

Applicants that do not have a PE but do have at least 10 years of experience in traffic operations; with the understanding that the applicant will likely be hired as a Traffic Specialist and not an Engineer.

Responsibilities

Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as assisting in project design and traffic engineering.
Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects.
Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data.
Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
Designs a component, or process on a complex project or designs to complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects.
Responsible for completing a subset of project documents.
Participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of projects.
Performs other duties as requested.
