About The Position

CGI is seeking a Traffic Manager to coordinate day-to-day creative resourcing for a client agency team of approximately 25 creatives. The role manages assignments across art direction, design, production design, copywriting, and Spanish translation, using Adobe Workfront to review incoming and upcoming work, assess capacity, and assign tasks based on availability, skills, workstream familiarity, and project needs. Work spans Food, Brand, Local Marketing, Field Services, Packaging, and shared production, with varying requirements across print, digital, social, packaging, and other deliverables. The Traffic Manager balances workloads, identifies delivery risks early, and provides leadership with visibility into capacity, demand, and potential support needs. The role collaborates closely with Project Managers, Creative Managers, Creative Leads, and individual contributors. Assignment decisions should account for continuity and team development as well as availability. Approximately 25% of the role (about 10 hours per week) is dedicated to managing assigned Tier 1 or smaller creative projects from intake through delivery. The role is located at a client site in Atlanta, Georgia, and a hybrid working model is acceptable.

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Workfront for resource planning and scheduling, including assignments, job roles, Workload Balancer, Resource Planner, planned hours, and schedules.
  • Ability to review existing Workfront reports and dashboards, interpret capacity and utilization data, and partner with the reporting lead who maintains them.
  • Working knowledge of art direction, creative concepting, illustration, brand design, production design, and copywriting, including how required skills vary by assignment.
  • Experience leading staffing meetings and working directly with Creative Leads to make informed assignment decisions.
  • Ability to assess competing priorities, apply data and practical judgment, and recommend workable staffing options.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work through resource conflicts.
  • Ability to identify gaps in project plans and partner with Project Managers to resolve them.
  • Self-directed and organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to move work forward as details or priorities change.

Responsibilities

  • Assign work based on availability, skills, workstream experience, project continuity, and timing.
  • Distinguish assignment needs across art direction, brand and graphic design, illustration, production design, copywriting, and Spanish translation.
  • Learn pod workflows and the requirements of print, digital, social, packaging, and other creative deliverables.
  • Keep tasks at the role level until reviewed and officially assigned.
  • Consult Creative Leads during planning or kickoff when briefs require specialized expertise, and confirm the appropriate creative fit before finalizing assignments.

  • Record assignments in Workfront and participate in regular portfolio reviews with creative leadership, Project Managers, and Creative Managers.
  • Monitor capacity for art directors, designers, production designers, copywriters, and Spanish translators; identify overallocations, underutilized capacity, competing priorities, and unstaffed work.
  • Adjust assignments as schedules, scope, priorities, or team availability change; surface resource gaps and staffing concerns early and recommend options such as contractor or vendor support.
  • Lead regular staffing reviews and meet weekly or biweekly with Creative Leads to discuss resource needs, skills, availability, and upcoming changes.
  • Prepare new requests, unassigned work, due dates, workload concerns, and decisions requiring input; update final assignments in Workfront.
  • Notify Project Managers and assigned creatives of assignment changes and schedule impacts; track open staffing decisions and escalate risks before delivery is affected.
  • Verify creative task roles, planned hours, dates, and assignments in Workfront; flag incomplete project plans and partner with Project Managers to correct hours, dates, dependencies, and assignments.

  • Coordinate with the Workfront Administrator on system requirements and the reporting lead on report and dashboard needs. Use existing reports and dashboards; do not configure Workfront or build or maintain reports and dashboards.
  • Serve as the central contact for creative capacity and assignment questions; communicate assignments and changes clearly and promptly.
  • Help teams address competing requests by outlining capacity, timing, and tradeoffs; escalate work that cannot be staffed within the requested timeline.
  • Use Workfront data and Creative Lead input to explain options, risks, and staffing recommendations, and record resourcing decisions in Workfront.
  • Manage assigned Tier 1 or smaller creative projects from intake through delivery, including scope, schedules, milestones, and handoffs.
