About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety-minded Traffic Management Flagger to join our team at West Van Materials Recovery Center in Vancouver, Washington. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires an eligible background check and drug panel screening. The schedule is Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (or until close).

Requirements

Eligible background check and drug panel screening.
At least 2+ years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position.
The ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift outside.
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating medium-heavy equipment is a plus.
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steer and forklift safely.

Responsibilities

Spotting - helping to direct customers and commercial work trucks to appropriate dump sites.
Traffic management - moving signs and cones.
Cleaning equipment - sweeping/power washing.
General site cleanup as needed.
Provide friendly customer service.
