About The Position

Come join our team as a Seasonal Traffic Maintenance Worker! If you enjoy working outdoors and having variety in your day, this could be a great fit. The City of Olathe is seeking Seasonal Traffic Maintenance Workers to perform a variety of labor and semi-skilled maintenance tasks. This position supports street striping, traffic signs, traffic signals, and streetlight maintenance, and includes routine care of assigned equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Traffic Control Supervisor. We’re looking for team-oriented individuals who work well as part of a crew, can complete a variety of general labor tasks, and can follow directions.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance is required.
• A valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record are required.
• Criminal background check
• Driving record review
• Physical Drug screen
• No experience required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various vehicles and equipment.
• Use tools, work aids, and equipment needed to perform assigned work.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
