Entry Level Traffic Engineer

This position is responsible for engineering traffic studies using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
Requirements
- Knowledge of general engineering principles and practices
- Limited supervision
- Technical advisor to less experienced engineers
- Proficiency in performing traffic analysis utilizing traffic software such as HCS and Synchro
- Ability to conduct safety evaluations and crash assessments.
- Ability to develop solutions to mitigate traffic deficiencies
- Ability to assist in the preparation of conceptual layouts depicting recommended improvements
- Ability to prepare technical memorandums and reports associated with large and medium scale traffic studies
- Knowledge of traffic control devices design that include signing, markings, signals, lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) using CAD software
- Ability to coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills
Responsibilities
