The selected candidate will collaborate with experienced project managers and professional engineers on exciting projects aimed at improving the movement of people and goods. This role involves engineering design and/or analysis, applying general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments. Please note that immigration sponsorship is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering program
  • 0-5 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-training certification
  • Proficient in discipline specific design software
  • Experience working with local clients at the county and state level

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks in the traffic engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes
  • Perform alternative studies
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical data to plan projects
  • Perform design computations
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents, like contract specifications, for advertisement and construction
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
