About The Position
The Traffic Control Tech I or II is responsible for setting up and managing traffic control measures like signs and cones, directing vehicle and pedestrian flow, and ensuring safety in roadwork zones, construction sites, or during incidents.
Requirements
- Meet Physical Requirements
- Able to follow direction
- Dependable & punctual
- Safety minded
- Use of small power tools
- Use of Hand tools
- Less than one (1) year in construction
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Load & unload work vehicle/trailer
- Drive company vehicles once certified
- Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations
- Aid in the set-up and removal of traffic diversion devices, including barrels, cones, signs, barricades, rumble strips and other related equipment with direction
- Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals
